Mycolinguistics
This exhibition is an exploration into current movements in science, mysticism and ecology in relation to fungi, the language of plants and our instinctual connection to our environment.
These paintings draw from images of both real and imaginary places, to examine relationships between micro and macro worlds and the forms, patterns and networks that exist within. It is an examination of the boundaries of what is natural and what is artificial, and the point where science meets science fiction, in a collision of molecules and cosmic energy.

Mycolinguistics: Art Gallery of Ballarat
Mycolinguistics is my latest solo exhibition and is open at the Art Gallery of Ballarat Victoria Australia until the 19th of July 2015. It is an exploration into current movements in science, mysticism and ecology. These landscape paintings and animation draw from images of both real and imaginary places, to examine relationships between micro and macro worlds and the forms, patterns and networks that exist within. It is also an examination of the fluctuating and sensitive state of our environment and the parallels between the state of our habitat and body ecology.
Transformations, energy fluctuations, transmigration of cells and microorganisms form the shapes, composition and psychedelic tones within his work. It is a process of ritual and meditation on things both massive and microscopic, magic and scientific.
